SOUTH BEND – A wrapup of boys and girls soccer regional finals from around the area.

GOSHEN – Penn and St. Joe will reunite in the finals of the Goshen Girls Soccer Regional after both teams claimed wins Wednesday in the regional semi-finals.

PLYMOUTH – Culver Academy stunned Warsaw with a penalty kick shoot-out win Saturday afternoon to claim the Plymouth Girls Soccer Sectional.

PLYMOUTH – Four goals in 13 minutes by Elizabeth Van Wormer was more than enough for Warsaw to get past Wawasee, 8-0, in the Plymouth Girls Soccer Sectional semi-final Thursday evening.

PLYMOUTH – Warsaw senior forward Elizabeth Van Wormer became the program’s all-time leading goal scorer Thursday, and set a couple more marks along the way.

NAPPANEE – It started with the rookies and ended with the veterans as Warsaw used speed and cleverness to defeat NorthWood, 4-0, in varsity soccer Thursday at Nappanee Elementary, home of the Panthers.

WARSAW – Warsaw just needed one spark to stoke the fire, one that kept burning the entire 80 minutes. The Lady Tigers had more than enough mustard to frustrate Manchester, 10-0, in a varsity-only girls soccer match Thursday evening in Tiger Town.

HUNTERTOWN – One season began Monday afternoon, another had to wait. Inclement weather postponed the start of the varsity girls soccer seasons for both Warsaw and Fort Wayne Carroll, but the JV teams were able to complete their game ahead of the weather. The Warsaw JV lost 5-0 while the varsity match was moved to Sept. 29.
