Volleyball

The NorthWood volleyball team topped Goshen 3-0 in Northern Lakes Conference play.

Kennedy Wiens had a big night with 14 kills to go with 15 digs and five aces as the Panthers prevailed 25-10, 25-21, 25-22.

Whitney Gessinger had seven kills and 15 digs for the winners. Kenzie Moren had seven kills and two blocks. Nicole Flickinger had four blocks and Alexis Klutz two. Courtney Lengacher had 20 assists for NorthWood.

Girls Soccer

The NorthWood girls soccer team picked up a 2-1 win at Elkhart Christian Academy.

Cindy Barahona gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead on a first-half goal assisted by Brittani Shields. ECA tied the contest in the second half at 1-1 on a goal by Mary Reddy.

Savannah Fenestra connected for the game winner for NorthWood in the 53rd minute. Shields also assisted on that goal.

NorthWood had a 7-3 edge in shots on goal and Panther goalie Kira Robinson had two saves.

NorthWood improves to 4-5-2, while ECA drops to 9-5.
