Whitko-Icon-130x130The Whitko girls soccer team put together two strong showings Saturday in the Manchester Invitational.

The Wildcats opened play by topping North Miami 3-1. Senior Heather Bryan had two goals and junior Mikayla Findley one for the winners.

Whitko goalie Ilyssa Bennett had nine saves in the win.

The Wildcats then lost a tough 1-0 final to Rochester in the championship match. Whitko had just lost 4-1 at Rochester on Wednesday.

Whitko (1-4) plays at Bremen Tuesday.

Volleyball Team Drops Four

The Whitko volleyball team had a tough day at the Westview Invitational on Saturday.

The Wildcats went 0-4 on the day at the tournament.

Whitko (2-5) plays at North Miami on Thursday.

Frosh Football Rolls

The Whitko freshman football team blanked Columbia City 28-0 Saturday.

Boys Soccer Loses Pair

The Whitko boys soccer team was handed two losses in the Manchester Invitational on Saturday.

North Miami beat the Wildcats 5-0 in their first match. Whitko keeper Jacob Helton had 16 saves.

Host Manchester defeated Whitko 4-0 in the consolation contest. Helton had 28 saves in that game.
