Lady Tigers Gather Resounding Win
There was no doubt the better side Monday night on the girls soccer pitch, as Warsaw piled up an 8-0 win at Fort Wayne Snider.
Warsaw needed just 10 minutes to get on the board, with Liz Van Wormer took a pass from Anna Sullivan and found the net. Van Wormer would have herself a match, scoring three goals and assisting on two others.
Anna Grill had a goal and an assist and solo tallies were scored by Julie Frazzetta, Sydney Weideman, Mariah Rivera and Alexis Myers. Picking up assists were Dayle Harvey, Brenna Shipley and Sarah Meade.
Rachel McClelland made three saves and combined with Katiana Rodriguez to pitch the shutout in goal for the Lady Tigers, now 12-0 on the year.
Snider’s JV picked up a 3-0 win against Warsaw.
Warsaw (5-0 NLC) will return to action Saturday in a boys/girls doubleheader at Wawasee. Girls JV will start at 10 a.m. followed by the girls varsity, boys JV and boys varsity.
