AKRON — Wednesday night’s match-up between sectional-rivals in Akron was a thrilling final home game for Tippecanoe Valley. But just as thrilling as it was for the Vikings, it was equally frustrating for Wawasee, which suffered through a lackluster fourth quarter on the way to a 69-39 defeat.
PLYMOUTH — The Stuckman brothers of Wawasee and the Lone brothers of NorthWood all pulled off titles in a brother act at the NLC wrestling tournament Saturday.

GOSHEN — Wawasee’s girls got off to a slow start, while the Warriors had the run of play early in their game in a boys/girls doubleheader split at Fairfield Tuesday.

KENDALLVILLE — Following a fog delay at an East Noble Regional that was already pushed back from Saturday to Monday, NorthWood’s golfers steadied themselves on their second nine at Noble Hawk Golf Links to finish runners-up and earn a berth to the state finals.
CULVER — NorthWood scored 48 points ahead of Northridge’s 42, and that finish, combined with the team’s historic 35-0 run during the NLC round robin, gave NorthWood sole possession of the NLC crown Saturday.
