Valley outscored host Oregon-Davis 40-27 over the second half to grab its second win of the season on the road in Hamlet Tuesday night.
Paul Leasure put up 23 points to pace the Viking offense, and Tanner Trippiedi tossed in 18 points with seven rebounds and five assists. Braden Shepherd scored 10 points for Valley, which connected on 13-of-18 shots after the intermission and 24-of-41 (58.5 percent) from the floor for the game.
OD got a game-high 25 points from Dylan Murphy, while Garrett Weil put up 19 points with eight rebounds for the Bobcats, who remained winless at 0-4.
The Vikings improved to 2-2 with the win. The team will return home to host John Glenn at 7:45 p.m. Saturday night.
The high school will host a Jeff Shriver Benefit Dinner in the TVHS Commons from 4-6 p.m. ahead of Saturday’s game. Shriver, a Valley coach and teacher, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. Freewill donations will be taken for the dinner, with all proceeds going to help the Shriver family with treatment costs. Fans are encouraged to wear a black shirt and khaki pants in homage to Shriver’s traditional wardrobe at the game.
WAWASEE C TEAM 36, ELKHART CHRISTIAN 33
Wawasee’s boys basketball C team earned a narrow victory over Elkhart Christian Tuesday.
Collin Roberson scored 17 points with 12 rebounds, a steal and a block for the Warriors, who moved to 3-1 on the season.
Wawasee’s C team will play again Thursday at Goshen at 7 p.m.
LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE 50, WAWASEE 23
The Wawasee Middle School eighth grade boys basketball team suffered a setback to Lakeview Tuesday night.

The Warriors slid to 3-5 with the loss.
LAKELAND CHRISTIAN MIDDLE SCHOOL 45, DENTON 38
LCA Middle School pulled away in the fourth quarter to remain unbeaten on the year Tuesday night.
Isaiah Lara scored 19 points, and Mel Norris put up 13 for the Cougars, who moved to 10-0 with the hard-fought win.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 8TH GRADE 45, ARGOS 12
The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School eighth grade boys basketball team earned a win against Argos Monday night.
Landon Durkes led the Vikings with 10 points and four rebounds, while Wade Jones and Kyler Johnson both chipped in nine points. Micah Martin scored six, Aaron Hood chipped in four, and Andrew Bosch scored three.
Valley moved to 4-3 with the win.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 7TH GRADE 33, ARGOS 13
Valley’s seventh grade also won against Argos Monday.
Leading the way for the Vikings was Blain Sheetz with 10 points and four rebounds. Dallas Miller chipped in nine points as well.
Valley’s seventh grade moves to 5-2 on the season.
WAWASEE 6TH ‘A’ 45, PLYMOUTH 24

Wawasee’s sixth grade boys basketball team earned a split with Plymouth Monday night, beating Plymouth soundly in the ‘A’ game but falling just a little short in the ‘B’ game. The Warriors’ ’A’ team collected a season-high 20 assists with 17 rebounds in moving to 6-1 on the season.
