COLUMBIA CITY — Wawasee’s freshman boys basketball team opened the year with a 35-28 win at Columbia City.

WARSAW — Wawasee dominated its competition on the way to a 5-0 finish, while host Warsaw was 4-1 at the Warsaw Invitational Saturday.

LAGRANGE — Turnovers and the Lakers’ offensive rebounding added up to a 54-34 loss at Lakeland Tuesday night.

SYRACUSE — After a very special 2017-18 season, Wawasee’s wrestling team looks to raise the bar even higher this winter.

WARSAW — The host Tigers advanced via 5-0 sweep of Wawasee, while Columbia City did likewise opposite Whitko, setting up Saturday morning’s Warsaw Sectional finale.

KENDALLVILLE — Freshman Cybil Stillson celebrated her 15th birthday with a program-best 72, and NorthWood girls golf fired a team-record 309 to earn a state finals berth at the East Noble Regional Saturday.

PLYMOUTH — NorthWood tennis earned three championship berths as part of a 4-1 finish at day two of the NLC Tournament in Plymouth Thursday.

PLYMOUTH — NorthWood went 4-1, Warsaw went 1-4, and Wawasee started 0-5 in the first round of the NLC Tournament in Plymouth Wednesday.
