Wawasee MS Wrestlers Claim NELMSC Tourney Title

The Wawasee Middle School wrestling squad earned the Northeast Lakes Middle School Conference championship Saturday. Wawasee Middle School won the Northeast Lakes Middle School Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Warriors sent 18 of 22 total wrestlers to championship matches and collected a total of 11 individual titles en route to the team championship.

Lucas Wilkinson, Kaleb Salazar, Titus Taylor, Hunter Miller, Logan Stuckman, Ethan Rodriguez, Manny Hernandez, Gavin Malone, Adam Lopez, Cameron Zimmerman and Nico Ramirez were all crowned champions in their divisions, Salazar, Malone and Lopez all completing undefeated seasons in the process. Max Byall, T.J. Slone, Donovan Blair, Mason Lawlor, Treyvon Cook, Ean Coburn and Nick Clark all earned runner-up honors at the NELMSC tourney, while Carson Nine and Colin Brinegar finished third, and Trey Rollins and Chance Flannery were both fourth at Saturday’s meet.
