COLUMBIA CITY — Wawasee’s freshman boys basketball team opened its season with a 35-28 win over host Columbia City Monday.

Keaton Dukes put up 11 points to lead the Warriors, while Landon Gause scored seven, Grant Brooks and Jackson Stover each scored five, and Mason Possell chipped in three.

The freshman Warriors will be back in action next Monday at home at 6:30 p.m.
