WARSAW — A Chicago man has been arrested on charges of fraud on a financial institution, level 5 felony, and theft, a level 6 felony after taking cash advances from a local bank.

WARSAW — He was arrested on Aug. 27, 2013, on charges of burglary, criminal deviate conduct and sexual battery. Today, Thursday, Oct. 15, the case was resolved and the accused sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections.

WARSAW — Failing to show up to a plea hearing resulted in a warrant issued against Judonn Lamarus Hendricks, 1011 Bontrager Ave., Elkhart, for failure to appear and a bond of $15,000 surety.

MARSHALL COUNTY — An early morning police chase today Thursday, Oct. 15, involved the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department with assistance from Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Bourbon Police, Bremen Police, and K9’s with Winona Lake and Warsaw police departments. WARSAW — Warsaw Fire Department and Lutheran EMS are responding to a car vs. pedestrian accident that happened near the intersection of Colfax Street and Center Street.

ELKHART — The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to an anonymous tip regarding an underage drinking party on Saturday, Oct. 10. The officers went to a residence is the 62000 block of CR 1. At the residence, officers found multiple people under the age of 1 who had been consuming alcoholic beverages. One of those individuals was was Syracuse.

MILFORD — A couple who were out for an early morning stroll possibly saved a major portion of the downtown business district in Milford this morning, Thursday, Oct. 8.
