MARSHALL COUNTY — A 30-year-old Bourbon man died in a two-vehicle accident Sunday, Oct. 11, in Marshall County. A passenger in his vehicle was listed in serious condition.

Michael W. Nuss, 30, Bourbon, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, Misty Rooney, 30, also of Bourbon, was flown to Memorial Hospital, South Bend, in serious condition. The driver of the other vehicle, Charles R. Losee, 35, Etna Green, complained of elbow pain and was transported to the hospital by family.

The accident occurred at 10:09 a.m. at 14B Road and Beech Road.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports Nuss was southbound on Beech Road in a 1991 Ford Ranger, approaching 14B Road intersection when he failed to stop at the intersection. The vehicle continued through the intersection being struck in the driver’s side by Losee’s 2004 Dodge Ram. Losee had the right of way at the intersection.
