NORTH WEBSTER — Recently, The Watershed Foundation assisted in writing the grants that were awarded $45,000 to both the Whitley and Kosciusko county Soil and Water Conservation Districts from the Indiana Division of Fish & Wildlife through the Lake and River Enhancement program for land treatment projects.

NORTH WEBSTER — The cause of a fire at 3795 N. Barbee Road, Thursday afternoon, Aug. 4, is still undetermined at this time. The call was received at approximately 4:45 p.m.

NORTH WEBSTER — The four contracted areas of the projects are quickly approaching the substantial completion date of Dec. 27, with final touches being added to each area. Contract A, bid by Selge Construction, covers Shoe Lake, Irish Lake, Sawmill Lake and part of Sechrist and Barbee lakes. Casey Erwin, DLZ project engineer, estimated this area to be 59 percent complete with the majority of laterals installed and grinder stations being placed, as well.
