A special and brief meeting was held late Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 25, by the Wawasee school board in Syracuse for the main purpose of a budget hearing. The budget process continues to move forward and Tuesday’s meeting was a public hearing, though no public input was given.

WARSAW — Banner Medical broke ground today, Tuesday, Aug. 25, to commence construction on a $6.3 million state-of-the art material processing facility in Warsaw. KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces SR 19 is scheduled to be resurfaced Monday, Aug. 31, weather permitting. The resurface work will take place in the Town of Mentone, from SR 25 to Etna Street, and in the Town of Etna Green, from West Spring Street to US 30.
A legislative study committee will convene in October to find answers to a problem Indiana is facing with a shortage of newly licensed teachers.
