KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces SR 19 is scheduled to be resurfaced Monday, Aug. 31, weather permitting. The resurface work will take place in the Town of Mentone, from SR 25 to Etna Street, and in the Town of Etna Green, from West Spring Street to US 30.

During the day, drivers should watch for stopped traffic and flaggers in the construction zone. Part of this project includes the update of curb ramps in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. One corner of each intersection will be constructed at a time. The project is expected to be completed in late October.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through an active construction zone.

The project was awarded to Reith-Riley Construction Company for $447,000.
