A semi tractor trailer became stuck under the viaduct on Argonne Road at Winona Avenue, Warsaw, at about 2:30 p.m. The road was closed to all traffic for approximately 45 minutes while the semi was freed. As of 3:15 p.m. Argonne Road was re-opened.

Sewer Work To Close City Street

Beginning Monday, Sept. 23, High Street in downtown Warsaw, between Winona Avenue and Smith Street, will be closed for sewer replacement. Warsaw Fire crews were called to Steak ‘n Shake at about 9:24 p.m. where a fire was reported in the kitchen area. The fire was quickly extinguished by the restaurant’s ansul system, which activates when a fire is detected. The restaurant was evacuated and everyone escaped without injury.
