The Kosciusko County Democratic Headquarters has just announced the closing of it’s doors on Sept. 30. According to the party, the closing is due to several financial setbacks as a party.

The party stated in a press release, “As many of you know, we recently have been faced with several financial setbacks as a party. It has been decided that since this is a non-election year, the costs to maintain the headquarters building versus the benefits it presents are no longer feasible at this time. We have informed the landlord that we will vacate the premises by Sep. 30.”

Kosciusko County Democrats will continue to have monthly meetings and fundraiser events to support Democrat candidates, however the party stated they believe the funds currently being spent on maintaining the headquarters could be spent better elsewhere.

“We are very proud that we maintained a public presence in the community as long as we did and we are very grateful to the members who’s hard work and donations made it possible,” stated the party.

If you have any pictures or other items that are currently at the headquarters building you would like returned to you, you may pick them up at the headquarters or call 574-372-DEMS. Items and photos not returned will be stored for future use closer to election time.
