CULVER — Triton’s boys golf team shaved six strokes off the previous week’s score at Saturday’s HNAC Tournament, but it wasn’t enough to catch Winamac, which topped the defending-champion Trojans, 325-334.

NORTH JUDSON — A pair of dingers by Nicole Sechrist and Taytum Hargrave wasn’t enough as host Judson rallied to a 10-6 win in an HNAC Tournament-opener Friday.

PLYMOUTH — Dakota Parker repeated as sectional champ in the 400 meters, and fellow Tippy Valley senior Jameson Baker collected the discus championship on his way to regional berths in both throwing events as the host Pilgrims completed a team championship sweep at the Plymouth Boys Track and Field Sectional Thursday.

KOKOMO – Several area girls had their state track hopes refueled after call-backs for the Kokomo Girls Track Regional.

BREMEN — Three-peat champion Plymouth rolled through the first round at the Bremen Tennis Sectional, beating Triton in straight sets on all but the 1 doubles court in an eventual sweep at Wednesday’s opener.

BOURBON — Dylan Hensley pitched a one-hit shutout, and Triton closed its Hoosier North Athletic Conference season in style with a 7-0 reprisal over visiting Knox Tuesday.

ROCHESTER — Champion Plymouth didn’t leave a whole lot of room in the top three for athletes from other schools, but Tippecanoe Valley and Triton managed three regional berths apiece at Tuesday’s Rochester Track and Field Sectional.

CULVER — Warsaw’s boys golf team made the unique format of the CMA Invitational work for them and carded four scores in the 70s — led by Luke Delp’s low-medalist round — for the team championship at Mystic Hills Saturday.

KNOX — Triton’s tennis team backed up a Hoosier North Athletic Conference championship three-peat with titles in three of five positions at Thursday’s HNAC Tournament-capper in Knox, securing titles at the 1 singles and at both doubles positions.

KNOX — Triton’s girls track team earned a trio of championships as the HNAC Championships wrapped with the second round in Knox Thursday night.

BOURBON — Triton senior Charlotte Morris recently signed her letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Ancilla College next fall.
