SYRACUSE — Singing, dancing, joking and music will mark the spring theater production at Wawasee High School. “Once Upon a Mattress” will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, March 18, and Saturday, March 19, in the high school auditorium in Syracuse.

SYRACUSE — Winter will not be officially finished for more than a month, but school administrators are already planning summer construction or renovation projects for Wawasee schools. During the regular monthly meeting of the Wawasee school board Tuesday evening, Feb. 9, in Syracuse, the board approved architectural firm Barton-Coe-Vilamaa to begin advertising for bids for capital funds summer projects.

INDIANAPOLIS — The third solo EP from Indianapolis-based singer-songwriter Brett Wiscons will be available beginning this Friday, Nov. 6. “The Heineken Sessions” will be released in conjunction with a release party at 9:30 p.m. at Union 50. The Brett Wiscons Band will be joined on stage by former members of the rock band Great Scott! which he formed more than a decade ago. SYRACUSE — The robotics program is being expanded throughout the Wawasee Community School Corp. at different grade levels. As one indicator the program is growing, Wawasee High School, for the first time, will host a robotics competition Saturday, Nov. 7.

During the regular monthly meeting of the school board for the Wawasee Community School Corp. Tuesday evening, Oct. 13, in Syracuse, the board heard a report from Joy Goshert, director of instruction and curriculum.
