On Saturday, July 25— initially reserved for the 2020 Dixie Day Festival, which was scuttled by the pandemic —the North Webster Lions Club treated attendees to a much welcomed, albeit scaled down, day of family-friendly activities at the Mermaid Festival fairgrounds.

Since the Mermaid Festival could not be held due to COVID-19 restrictions, the North Webster Lions Club felt it would like to bring a bit of fun to the community for one day only in 2020, ending with the Demolition Derby.

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Lions Club will hold its ninth annual Dan’s Fish & Tenderloin Fry fundraiser dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the North Webster American Legion on SR 13. NORTH WEBSTER — Involvement in the Wawasee High School super mileage team began for Scott Fox in 2012, when his oldest son got involved. In the super mileage team, students build cars or improve on them in order to get the best miles per gallon in the Shell Eco-marathon.

The weather was picture perfect for the storybook characters who marched in this year’s Cutie Parade Wednesday, June 21 in downtown North Webster.
