The Triton Athletic Department announced today that 2008 Triton graduate, Blake Schori, will be the next boys and girls cross country coach. Schori will take over for former coach Wes Rettinger, who led the Trojans for the past 11 seasons.

Wawasee High School has issued its dates and times for the 2015 fall sports practices. This includes all incoming grade levels.

This year’s Warsaw Department of Parks and Recreation Junior Golf Tour concluded with the final round played at Maxwelton Golf Club.

Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation’s mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the Wawasee area watershed for present and future generations. Warsaw Community High School welcomed 32 teams to Rozella Ford Golf Course Saturday for its sixth annual Warsaw Lady Tiger Basketball/Volleyball Golf Outing.

The final day of the Baseball Players Association World Series for the 10U and 13U age groups at the CCAC saw teams trying to get games over with before the bad weather zeroed in on Kosciusko County. All told, the New Haven Bulldogs Black 10U team and the Granger Cubs 13U team each stood tallest as champions of each respective baseball tournament Saturday.

The idea of golf by the lake is a beautiful thing. The idea of golf in 90 percent humidity is not. It almost makes a person not be able to breathe. Gathered en masse Saturday morning at Wawasee Golf Club, 10 teams braved the thick summer air to take part in the third annual Goofy Golf To Sink Cystic Fibrosis, raising money to defeat the awful debilitation.

It’s all on the line Saturday. The Baseball Players Association World Series will culminate Saturday with championship round games after Friday’s action set up what should be a fantastic finals of the 10U and 13U tournaments.

Thirteen of Grace College’s 14 varsity athletic programs were named Scholar-Teams by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for the 2014-15 academic year.

Turkey Creek Fire Department responded to a chemical spill on Hatchery Road, Syracuse, at 6:06 p.m. Sunday evening, July 12.
According to fire officials, a property was being demolished by a private company after being condemned.
