BOURBON – Triton issued a pair of college announcements Monday as two multi-sport stars made their decisions for the next level.

Triton wrestling star Nate Spangle also could have chosen track, but decided to go the third route and signed his letter of intent with Depauw University’s football program.

Spangle won three letters in football in addition to three letters in track and four in wrestling. Highlighting Spangle’s senior year was a run in wrestling that had him win a sectional title, earn a semi-state berth and help the team to a team state appearance. Spangle helped Triton to a sectional semi-final appearance on the gridiron in the fall.

Spangle is also member of Key Club, Senior Leadership Squad, FCCLA, Science Club, Spanish Club, and has been the class of 2015 class president since seventh grade.

Nate is the son of Andy Spangle and Susan Spangle. He plans to major in Economics while playing football at Depauw.

Sellers was also a three-sport star for the Lady Trojans. Starring in volleyball, basketball and softball, she helped lead three winning programs during her four years. Despite missing her entire senior season because of a knee injury, Sellers’ résumé her first three years of softball for Triton had Manchester University come calling. Sellers signed her letter of intent to continue her diamond life with the Spartans.

Earning All-Northern State Conference honors in all three sports, Sellers garnered 12 letters between the three sports. Sellers hit .434 as a junior with 32 RBIs as Triton made its only semi-state appearance in school history.

Sellers is also member of Science Club, FFA, Spirit Club, Spanish Club, Key Club, KYLA, FCA, 4H and National Honor Society. Krystal is the daughter of Chuck and Michelle Sellers.
