TERRE HAUTE – There was a bit of cat scratch fever going on at the Indiana High School Coaches Association North-South All-Star Series at Indiana State’s Bob Warn Field this past weekend.Whitko senior outfielder Zach Snep and Whitko head coach Erik Hisner helped the North sweep the South in the series.

On Friday, the North ended a six-game and two-year losing streak to the South by taking both ends of the doubleheader, 10-6 and 11-8. Saturday, the North completed the sweep with an 8-3 victory in the annual wood bat game. Snep collected a hit, a run, and a stolen base in the series while playing solid defense in both left and right field. The sweep marks only the sixth time in forty-one years that the North has taken all three games from the South.
