ELKHART — The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to an anonymous tip regarding an underage drinking party on Saturday, Oct. 10. The officers went to a residence is the 62000 block of CR 1. At the residence, officers found multiple people under the age of 1 who had been consuming alcoholic beverages. One of those individuals was was Syracuse.

The National Transportation Safety Board has released the preliminary report on the plane crash Friday, Oct. 2, that killed Warsaw City Councilman Charlie Smith, his son and attorney Scott Smith, former Tippecanoe Valley Football Coach Scott Bibler, and retired Sprint Car driver Tony Elliott.

WARSAW — Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Department had six of its firefighters, and two lead instructors participate in a structural collapse class in South Bend. The class lasted two weeks giving officers 80 hours of training. The two lead instructors included Aaron Bolinger and Andrew Calloway.

WARSAW — Police have responded to an accident on at the intersection of Center Street and Hickory Street, Warsaw, involving a passenger car and a motorcycle. One person was transported to the hospital with injuries.
