Memorial Day celebrations were limited this year due to COVID-19 and current social distancing restrictions, but each of the local American Legion posts met at area cemeteries to remember those who have served their country. While there were no parades held this year in Milford, North Webster or Syracuse, the community still gathered at each of the area cemeteries to remember and honor those who have died Monday, May 25.

NORTH WEBSTER — With the news the North Webster American Legion Post 253 was no longer serving food or having the kitchen open after Wednesday, July 13, the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce voted to move its general monthly meeting to its new, larger office inside the Tippecanoe Township Building. Rock Out For A Good Cause

NORTH WEBSTER — Syracuse-Wawasee Rotary Club’s Rocktober Fest is roaring into North Webster Saturday, Oct. 17, bringing with it popular band The Why Store. Stop by from 6 p.m. until closing at the American Legion Post 253, 756 S. SR 13, North Webster, for a rocking evening, good food and to show support for the North Webster and Syracuse food pantries.

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Heart of the Harvest Fall Festival is off to a great start this afternoon, Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Mermaid Festival fairgrounds. Families from around the local communities are joining in the fun until 4 p.m. today.

It is sponsored by the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce and President Sue Ward, Sue’s Creations, asked for more volunteer participation from members at the Monday, July 13, general meeting in the North Webster American Legion, Post 253.

North Webster American Legion Post 253 is sponsoring a three day event to benefit the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County from Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 12. It is the third annual Post 253 Cancer Cruise weekend.
