North Webster American Legion Post 253 held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 17, to celebrate the installation of two new automatic doors recently installed at the post. The new doors will make it a lot easier for our handicapped veterans and our handicapped visitors to enter the post.

The post received grants from Mutual Bank and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. Several individuals made personal donations and Automatic Door Controls provided discounts to make the installation of the automated doors possible.

Several Legionnaires started by removing the existing doors and framing the openings for the new doors. The new doors and automatic controls were then installed by Automatic Door Controls of Roanoke.

The Legion extends many thanks to everyone involved in the funding and the installation of the doors.
