CROMWELL — Syracuse Police and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officers responded to a call of a stabbing at 11970 N. Camelot Lane East, Cromwell, in Enchanted Hills. After Syracuse Police and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department officers arrived on scene, they confirmed it was not a stabbing, but a domestic dispute.
SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man is in critical, but stable condition following an electrical shock sustained Monday, Sept. 7. At 4:54 p.m., Syracuse Police and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call, finding Syracuse resident Jason Veenstra, 40, conscious but severely burned.
SYRACUSE — Christopher David Prater, 17, Syracuse, was struck and killed this morning by a train in northern Kosciusko County.
Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson stated Prater was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a westbound CSX freight train en route to Chicago.
