SYRACUSE — Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Syracuse Police and Turkey Creek Fire and EMS responded to the call of a pedestrian struck by a train around 7 a.m. this morning.

The train/pedestrian accident has been confirmed as a fatality. The only information available at this time is the CSX train was traveling westbound at the time. The train stopped just west of the accident scene, at or near the Pickwick Road/Eastshore Drive crossing.
