MARION — Grace went toe to toe with No. 15 IWU for most of the night, but a late run by the hosts resulted in a 79-67 Lady Lancer loss Tuesday.
MARION — Grace men’s basketball took No. 1-ranked Indiana Wesleyan to OT but ultimately suffered its first loss of the season, 92-86 Tuesday.

SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko High School Head Football Coach Jeff Sprunger has resigned, effective immediately, and former head coach Josh Mohr is taking the reigns of the football team, the school announced Wednesday.
GOSHEN — Warsaw’s girls won their seventh straight title, while the Tigers placed third in the boys meet at the NLC Cross Country Championships at OxBow Park Saturday

SYRACUSE — Wawasee’s girls golf team finished in the top half of the field with a 401 as the Warriors held their annual invitational at South Shore Saturday.
WARSAW — Warsaw got five solid scores, including four in the 70s, and the Tigers edged out Culver Military by a stroke to repeat as sectional champions at Rozella Ford Friday.
ROCHESTER — Valley’s boys golf team rounded out the three-team standings in a meet with Manchester and Whitko Thursday at Round Barn.
PLYMOUTH — Dakota Parker repeated as sectional champ in the 400 meters, and fellow Tippy Valley senior Jameson Baker collected the discus championship on his way to regional berths in both throwing events as the host Pilgrims completed a team championship sweep at the Plymouth Boys Track and Field Sectional Thursday.
AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley made three runs in the bottom of the first stand up, and the Lady Vikings upset Class 2A, No. 3 Whitko, 3-1, in Three Rivers Conference action at home Wednesday.

Tippecanoe Valley’s girls basketball team topped the All-Three Rivers Conference lists with a total of four players named to two lists.
