SYRACUSE — Despite temperatures in the high 80s, the annual Wawasee Walk began at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Syracuse Community Center. This year the funds are to be split between Habitat for Humanity Kosciusko County, the Rose Home and the Syracuse Wawasee Ministerial Association.

SYRACUSE — Years ago the Wawasee Homecoming Parade was an annual event. Last year the Syracuse Parks Department prompted the return of the parade in part to celebrate the bicentennial. Since there were so many school entries, it has been brought back for another year.
