CROMWELL — A Cromwell woman has been arrested following a NET43 controlled purchase.

Deborah McMahan

Deborah K. McMahan, 60, 9783 E. Chickadee Drive, Cromwell, is charged with two counts of dealing in methamphetamine, level 4 felonies; three counts of possession of methamphetamine, level 6 felonies; maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, in February, NET43 investigators conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Deborah and William Freddrick McMahan, 59, 9783 E. Chickadee Drive, Cromwell.

The methamphetamine weighed 3.8 grams. The transaction took place at a residence belonging to the McMahans’ and was captured on video and audio.

In March, another controlled buy took place at that residence.

As a result of their work, investigators learned that the McMahans were expecting a large quantity of methamphetamine soon.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence. William was searched, and NET43 documented money used in the purchases were found.

William admitted that he and Deborah were selling methamphetamine together.

In the master bedroom, officers found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, a glass pipe with burnt residue, a scale and multiple plastic bags.

Deborah McMahan was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail June 16 on a $15,250 surety and cash bond.

William McMahan was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail March 6 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
