CROMWELL — A Cromwell man faces charges after controlled purchases by police led to a search warrant and the discovery of drugs and paraphernalia.

William Freddrick McMahan, 59, 9783 E. Chickadee Drive, Cromwell, is charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a level 4 felony; two counts of possession of methamphetamine, both level 6 felonies; maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 27, NET 43 investigators conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from McMahan and a woman in Kosciusko County.
The meth weighed 3.8 grams. The transaction took place at a residence belonging to McMahan and was captured on video and audio.
On March 4, another controlled buy took place at that residence involving the woman. Later that same day, NET 43 investigators conducted another controlled purchase from the same woman. This time, the woman requested that the purchase take place away from the residence.
As a result of their work, investigators learned McMahan and the woman were expecting to receive a large quantity of methamphetamine soon.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence. McMahan was searched and NET 43 documented money used in the purcahses were found.
McMahan admitted that he and the woman were selling methamphetamine together.
In the master bedroom, officers found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, a glass pipe with burnt residue, a scale and multiple plastic bags.
McMahan was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail March 6 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
