Filing began Wednesday, July 22, for the two at-large seats on the Wawasee School Board up for reelection this year. The two seats are held by Mike Wilson and Don Bokhart.

What the 2020-21 school year will look like for the Wawasee Community School Corporation is becoming more clear, but understandably plans are of a more tentative nature depending on state directives on the pandemic.

SYRACUSE – Wawasee athletics has announced athletes will need an updated physical on file to participate in 2020-21 athletics.

For the first time in five years, teachers within the Wawasee Community School Corp. will be getting a pay raise. During a special meeting of the Wawasee school board Tuesday evening, Sept. 22, in Syracuse the board approved a 3.5 percent increase to the base salary for teachers.

During its regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening Sept. 8, the Wawasee school board also considered the following agenda items:
