When this reporter arrived to the scene there was no longer smoke coming from the chimney and emergency personnel were beginning to disperse. Claypool Fire Chief Bob Haines said a chimney fire at a rural Warsaw home Monday night was the result of built up creosote. The small fire was reported just before 9 p.m. Monday at 4494 S. Clay Township and Winona Lake fire department have been called to a chimney fire at 4391 S. Country Club Rd. According to a firefighter on scene, the fire has been mostly contained and all residents have exited the building safely. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
