GOSHEN — Indiana State Police continue to investigate the police action shooting that happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, in Goshen. The circumstances surrounding the initial call from the BP gas station that led police to the area and ultimately to chase and shoot the armed man in the parking lot of the Double D Bar and Grill are still under investigation.
WHITLEY COUNTY — Skyler Vincent Bosserman, 19, was arrested by Whitley County Sheriff’s officers Thursday evening, March 9, following a shooting in the 3200 block of Colony Avenue at Tri-Lakes. Bosserman has been charged with criminal recklessness with a firearm, battery with a deadly weapon and pointing a loaded firearm. He is being held on $60,000 bond.

Tara Thornburg, 23, is in critical condition in a Fort Wayne hospital following a shooting in Syracuse early this morning. A 19 year old male was found deceased. His name is not being released by police as extended family is still being notified. An autopsy is expected to be performed today.
