AKRON — Wednesday night’s match-up between sectional-rivals in Akron was a thrilling final home game for Tippecanoe Valley. But just as thrilling as it was for the Vikings, it was equally frustrating for Wawasee, which suffered through a lackluster fourth quarter on the way to a 69-39 defeat.

Tigers Take Opener At Valley

AKRON — Host Valley and visiting Warsaw played evenly through the first quarter before the Tigers began to pull away in the second and third in a season-opening win Wednesday.

BOURBON — After struggling to score the past two seasons, Triton boys basketball shouldn’t have trouble in that department this year. But there are still question marks.

WARSAW — Warsaw basketball will need to find a way to replace a lot of points and ball-handling as the 2019-20 season gets underway.
