WARSAW — A  Culver man was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. Friday, May 22, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to a report of a car versus pole accident at East CR 225S and South Country Club Road, Warsaw.

The crash involved a white Ford Focus driven by Brian M. Pohl, 40, Hoosier Lane, Culver. Pohl had swerved to avoid a black SUV that was turning right onto CR 225S from South Country Club Road. The vehicle struck a pole and came to rest on the passenger side. The black SUV was not hit.
