KNOX – On Monday morning, July 27, a Knox man was arrested for dealing a controlled substance following a traffic stop in Starke County.

Around 11 a.m., State Trooper Korinne Reinke stopped a maroon 2015 GMC pickup truck for a moving violation as it traveled west on CR 200S in Starke County, according to a news release from the Indiana State Police.

During the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver of the GMC, Michael Minix, 46 of Knox, had a warrant out of Marshall County for Dealing a Controlled Substance. Minix is also alleged to have been in possession of 30 tubes marked “Testim” and 30 tubes marked “Testosterone Gel 1%” as well as a large amount of United States Currency.

These drugs are considered schedule III controlled substances.

Minix was arrested on a preliminary charge of Dealing in a Controlled Substance as well as for the active warrant. Minix was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

The Indiana State Police was assisted by the Marshall County Drug Task Force.
