Finger Biting Incident Leads To Arrest

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman who allegedly bit a man’s finger is facing criminal charges.

Brittany Rae Boggs, 27, 4085 S. Country Club Road, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. 

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 12, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a residence in reference to a family fight.

Upon arrival, the deputy separated the individuals found at the residence.

A man at the scene said he and Boggs were involved in an argument. He said Boggs attempted to leave the residence with a child during the argument and he stood in front of her in an attempt to get her to stay and talk.

Boggs then allegedly bit the man’s finger, causing a laceration. 

Another woman at the scene was holding the child at the time of the incident. Boggs then ran at the woman, while the woman was still holding the child, and struck the woman in the face.

Another man who was at the residence confirmed the account of what happened.

According to the police report, Boggs was interviewed and admitted to biting the man’s finger in an attempt to get him to move.

Boggs was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail July 12 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
