SYRACUSE  — Turkey Creek Fire and EMS, Syracuse Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-vehicle accident occurring on SR 13 south of Syracuse, near Ideal Beach Drive and the Pine Terrace Condos. Approximate time of the accident was 11:20 a.m.

According to an officer on the scene, a Mazda car crossed the centerline, hit the back end of a semi trailer, and then spun around, hitting an Odyssey van and driving it into a telephone pole.

The female driver of the Mazda was airlifted to a local hospital. The male driver of the Odyssey van was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
