CLAYPOOL — The Claypool Police Department acted upon a tip about possible illegal drug activity occurring at 201 E. Calhoun St., Claypool.
The tip stemmed from several people who were stopped for traffic violations in the vicinity. With that information, Claypool Police began a narcotics investigation which culminated in the execution of a search warrant on Friday, May 29.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers found drug paraphernalia, marijuana, methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes and pills. Officers arrested Christopher Spangle, 34, Claypool.
Spangle is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. This investigation is still ongoing with possible future arrests.
Claypool Police Department was assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, NET 43, Silver Lake Police Department, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
