PIERCETON — At approximately 11:21 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, Winona Lake Fire Department was contacted with a request for assistance by Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory at an accident in the area of 4000 East Wooster Road, Pierceton.

A Chevy pickup truck went off the roadway and into a pond. The driver was not injured but was unable to exit the vehicle. Two divers were called in to assist. The driver was removed from the truck with the assistance of emergency responders.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Lutheran EMS were also on scene. Wooster Road is snow covered, slick and dangerous.
