BOURBON — Second-grade students in at Triton Elementary School recently reviewed skills in reading while studying the story of Helen Keller.

The class read many books and articles about Keller and had a lot of questions, as many of them have never met someone who is deaf or blind.

Thursday, March 24, the second-graders Face Timed with a friend of student-teacher Katie Claxon. Her friend is a sign language interpreter and her parents are deaf. The students also spoke with the friend’s father and asked questions while the friend interpreted.
