BOURBON — Triton Elementary School was recently awarded a robotics grant from the TechPoint Foundation for Youth. The grant will allow the school school to receive a free VEX IQ Robotics kit and to train one teacher to become a robotics educator. Triton has selected fourth-grade teacher Jenny Mevis, who applied for and was awarded the grant.

BOURBON — Students in Cindy Stichter’s algebra II honors class at Triton Jr.-Sr, High School recently completed a trigonometry activity. The students used homemade clinometers and trigonometry to estimate heights of trees, buildings, and signs.

BOURBON — Project Tomorrow, the national education nonprofit group, announced the selection of both schools from Triton School Corporation as Speak Up Loud and Clear schools. Formerly known as Speak Up 200, Speak Up Loud and Clear is a collection of the top K-12 schools in the country that encourage and involve authentic student, parent and teacher ideas and views in the education planning and decision-making.
