Wawasee Kiwanis is hosting the 2013 Snowmobile Race Day drags on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, on Lake Wawasee.

The annual event is a fundraiser for Wawasee Kiwanis community projects and this year will also benefit the Harold Schrock Youth Complex and Riley Hospital for Children.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. in Syracuse Lakeside Park, 1013 N. Long Dr., Syracuse. Radar runs, kitty kat races and racing starts at 10 a.m. on the lake and awards will be issued in each class.

The famous soup supper the night before the races is again being held at Syracuse Community Center from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sample from a number of gourmet soups and cast your vote for the best one. Entries are welcome.

Lunch will be available on site the day of the races. In case of poor ice conditions, an alternate date will be announced in February. The Soup Supper will be held Jan. 25 regardless.
