SYRACUSE — The Wawasee Kiwanis recently gave $50 to teachers at the Syracuse Elementary School. The club spent a total of $1,800 giving money to each teacher to help buy supplies for their classroom. The club understands that teachers often spend their own money to buy supplies.

The Wawasee Kiwanis Club has now officially cancelled the snowmobile drags which had already been postponed twice. The drags were set for this Saturday, Feb. 16, on Syracuse Lake. Due to poor ice conditions, however, the event has been cancelled for this year.
