SYRACUSE  — Syracuse first responders were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of US 6 and SR 13, Syracuse around 6:30 p.m. The driver of the flipped vehicle was transported to IU Goshen Hospital with injuries. Officers were dealing with backed up traffic as the vehicle remained in the middle of the busy intersection.

SYRACUSE — Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle accident Saturday, Aug. 22, ending in one fatality.
Officers responded at 4:18 p.m. to the intersection of US 6 and SR 13 in Syracuse and found Jeffrey Smith, 56, North Webster, suffering from a chest laceration and head injury after striking an SUV operated by Richard Eastman, 75, Roanoke, Ill.
