Ruth M. ‘Maxine’ Hughes, 91, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Millers Merry Manor in Warsaw, Ind. She was born on Oct. 11, 1922, in Plymouth, Ind., to J. D. and Bessie M. (Crist) Leiter. She attended Mentone Public Schools and moved to Syracuse in 1942 from Warsaw. …read more.
