  Third graders in Carolyn Shaffner’s class at Jefferson Elementary School, Winona Lake, have been reading books and talking about goals and dreams. The students have joined Operation Treat a Soldier, along with their principal, David Robertson, so they can send words of encouragement and treats to support troops serving in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
