WARSAW — Beginning today, Sept. 20, Treasures for Troops kicks off its 9th annual “Operation ‘TREAT’ a Soldier” campaign.

Treasures for Troops is a solider support ministry through the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County.

The “Operation ‘TREAT’ a Soldier” campaign gives everyone the opportunity to fill a treat bag for a deployed service member currently serving overseas.

Anyone wanting to participate can pick up a treat bag with the instructions inside at the following area businesses:

  • Warsaw Community Public Library
  • Kauffman Medi Spa
  • Lake City Bank, Silver Lake
  • Family Dollar, Silver Lake
  • Nordman’s Nook Bakery, North Manchester

Bags will be available for pickup beginning Sept. 20. They must be filled, per the instructions inside the bag and returned to any of the aforementioned locations by Oct. 5.

For complete details check out the Treasures for Troops Facebook page at www.facebook.com/treasuresfortroops or call (260) 352-2678. Any church group or club needing multiple bags to fill may contact this number. Treasures for Troops urges that you don’t miss your chance to let the troops know they are being remembered during this autumn season.
