Syracuse-Wawasee Trails Committee discussed the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Conklin Bay project at the Monday night, July 20, meeting.

An update on the new project was also discussed. Minor issues are still being addressed. Selge Construction was on-site last week to follow up. Erlene Yentes, executive director, updated the committee that educational signs are located along the trail.

Despite heavy rain and thunderstorms, Oakwood Resort gave away 350 free meals Thursday, May 14, in Syracuse.

Syracuse Strong continues with two free meal distributions. One Thursday, May 14, and the other Saturday, May 16.

The annual Wawasee Property Owners Association family breakfast has been cancelled for 2020. The event was slated to be held Saturday, June 13, at Oakwood Resort.

WARSAW — Oakwood Resort and The Pier & Back Porch Oakwood partnered with both Sysco and Stanz Foodservice to provide 200 gourmet meals to healthcare workers at KCH. They delivered the meals to Kosciusko Community Hospital Thursday, April 30.

How long is too long for temporary signs to be up? That was the debate at the Syracuse Board of Zoning Appeals meeting Thursday evening, Sept. 17.
